We were supposed to be covering a VAG meet that Sunday at the parking lot at Leisure Park, but were lucky to stumble upon a group of BMW owners from BMW.SG having a small meet.

Quite a turnout.

I was greeted with by a friendly bunch and their rides, BMWs of different models, and you could hear the sweet music played through the exhaust notes of some of the M series models that just arrived. Ben joked with me that if we parked our cars beside any of them it would be an eyesore, like the cars telling us, “it’s more than we could afford, pal.”

More than you could ever afford, pal.

Despite that fact, all of us share the common love for cars, some may be the type that focus on aesthetics, some are hardcore track day participants, and everybody enjoys a good company on a Sunday afternoon. There are some BMWs that caught our attention, and we would love to share them here with everyone.

Talk about fitting in.

Due to the 10 year car ownership system we have in Singapore, it is rather rare to spot a continental car that is soon, or passed its ten year paper value life. To you guys out there, the moment a Singaporean car passed that mark, the scrap value is very minimal. Hence it is rare to just spot this E46 M3, which frequent the race tracks in neighbouring Malaysia.

Looking neat I must say.

Some of you guys would prefer the newer sleek styling of the E92 M3 compared to the brute looking E46, and there were many for us to admire that afternoon.

Little bits of carbon fibre accentuate this car.

While the owners and their companions were busy catching up with one another, more M3s kept popping out before our lenses.

We must be queer, looking at the cars more than the girls present.

The crowd was beside a pocket rocket, and this BMW 1M would easily pack a punch with its power to weight ratio.

Looking fresh off the dealership.

There was this white Z4 that just left, it would make a good contrasting shot if it stayed a while longer.

Lone Ranger.

We would love to cover meets from different car clubs in Singapore. Our hands are rather tied at the moment just finishing our semester-end university examinations. Club meets are always great, to get to meet new people, and their lovely cars.

Sort of a show and tell session.

If you are from a local car club or online forum and would like us to cover your meet, do contact us HERE, or alternatively, you could follow us at our Facebook page HERE.

Till next time…
