Last weekend photographer Neo and myself went up to Malaysia to capture some pictures of the MMER, Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race. It is a 12 hour endurance race held at Sepang International Circuit, and also the 12th race held by the Malaysians, as the name Millennium comes from it’s inaugural year 2000. Fellow editor Ray was working there as a mechanic for the weekend so we met up with him there and we were fortunate to have a good friend of mine hook us up with a couple of guest passes! (Thanks Sebas!)
For me, it was my first attempt at photography! Neo was kind enough to lend me a spare camera and teach me the minimal basics of photography. Not to worry though, majority of the photos are still by Neo so you won’t be staring at a full screen of blur pictures. Regardless, you will probably be able to find lots of pictures of the cars that were racing and the results all over the internet and in magazines covering the events.
What we decided to do however, is show you the things that you would not have seen if you were not at Sepang itself for the day. We walked around behind the pits to search for stuff that caught our attention. Its basically what you would have seen if you were at MMER itself.
Here is a short preview of whats to come.
