Up until this very day, I believe that all Honda enthusiasts young and old will know this legendary model of Civic that Honda created back in 1996.
Yes, we drool over it and many dream of owning one in Singapore where there are only a handful left. This legend was born in the land of the rising sun and yes, no doubt there’s a whole lot of aftermarket parts available even till today.
Anyone that has ever owned an old modified car will know what’s it like to keep it alive and kicking. Even with the vast amount of parts available, you need a deep pocket to fill your baby with all the new parts to replaced those worn from age, bling and admirable parts.
Those who held on till today will know they still hold a real gem in their possession.
Powered by a 1.8L VTEC and producing over 200 ponies to the wheels at over 9000rpm, we know these naturally aspirated cars will still put up a good fight with the new and young fleet of cars produced by all the car manufacturers today.
Apart from the strong heart, the handling is also not to be compromised. We can see the parts from the undercarriage, ASR subframe combined with Beaks lower tie bar, alongside Skunk2 LCA and upgraded spring rate on the Apexi N1. We will always see different combination of handling and engine set up in every car. There is no one best setup and every car is different but it is easy to tell how much these owners love their cars.
Power to weight ratio, a diet can really make a difference that’s why we see more and more carbon parts in the market today. A little from the Password JDM bonnet, boot, air scoop, lip and Spoon spoiler not only did the lightening but also added some spice to the overall look of this hatch.
So in order to bring this to a stop Phase gotten the Spoon twinblock calipers accompanied with Regamaster EVO wheels.
This build you see before you is another great example of the possibilities of what enthusiasts had spent so much of their precious time and money on without cutting corners and not allowing any setbacks to discourage them or make them settle for less.
Stay tuned for another Honda Classic in our next feature.
