This is not your usual vehicle that you would expect to see here on TheRightWrong.Net. I was in  Japan in May, had RWB in my to-do list of places to visit. Apparently, I wasn’t aware of Nakai-san’s busy schedule.

It was a disappointing trip down to RWB due to my fault on not calling Nakai-san on his availability and he was creating another master piece all the way in Moscow, Russia. Dejected, I made my 1 kilometre walk back to the train station.

All was not lost when the rumble of a V8 down the small street could be heard, and appearing before me was this black Ford F100 wearing old school purple flames with white wall tires cruising down as the night was falling.

Having always had this affection for American cars, especially chopped ’32s coupes, and this F100 came as a surprise as he have yet to see one in person. To see a hot rod in Singapore is practically impossible, and those they have in our Universal Studios back home looks pathetic compared to this truck. Being desperate, I practically chased by running after the pickup and luckily it stopped by a Ramen stall, and the drive went to catch up with some of his friends, with the limited Japanese that my friend spoke, we managed to ask him for a little photo shoot of his ride.

The owner even offered to pop his bonnet for me take a couple of photos of the Ford V8.

With his tied up hair and Japanese wooden clogs, he is sure a person that has his own fashion sense.

With such a vehicle parked by the street, people start stopping by to have a look.

Never failing to stop people in their tracks.

No crazy hellaflush movement here, just plain old-school American hot rodding.

I headed in to have a look at the interior that had a colour coded painted dashboard that accentuated the flames on the exterior.

Some other little details of this truck.

Clean ass bed.

As night was falling, I decided to call it a night to head back to the hotel, not empty handed.
