We are back with the second part of the Tokyo Auto Salon 2014 since the long awaited Part 1. The other brand that had a booth that was swapped with audience is none other than Trust with their R35X which grabbed best of show for 2014. Its satin black paint matched with a set of TE37s also given the matt treatment and more bits of dry carbon showing definitely attracted hoards of people. Monoblocks from Endless seemed to be the correct choice of stopping power. Aggressive front aero for maximum downforce and massive load of airflow to feed those GReddy intercoolers. Next to the GTR is the rocket bunny fitted FT86. Another 86 that has been making the rounds on the internet with the new front bumper that Miura san came up with. From the people that are modifying the latest cars around, we a step back in time and have a look at what Rocky Auto brought out to this year's show. Some would cringe at the idea of swapping out the S20 from a KPGC10, but they hail from the another camp. What you see here is a a KENMARI spotting a RB26 heart transplant, fitted with ITBs. Must be quite the screamer there. They have kept the outlook period correct with those matt black overfenders and an essential set of Watanabes. Something with the touch of current trends using bits of carbon fiber to provide contrast to the matt finish and some dished out Works CR-01. When it come to modern engineering, Top Fuel has done it time and time again since their older time attack and drag cars. Here we have the turbo charged Honda S2000 that competed in the 2013 World Time Attack held in Australia and piloted by Taniguchi. To me, another tuner that belonged to the era of Top Fuel will be JUN Auto with their Hyper Lemon cars ranging from Evolutions to GTRs. Wearing the famous yellow this year will be the GTR35 and FT86, showing the constant upgrading their have in house to suit the needs of cars today. Some machined goodness! Local Honda heads will remember the times when their B series engines were running JUN 2/3 cams. When talking about Hondas, who can forgot Ichishima san and Spoon which has been tuning the H brands since the 80s with their famed EG6/EK9 with the Yellow/Blue livery. This year surprisingly, their focus were on aero and a take on the S2000 hardtop. That's all for this post, we will be back for the 3rd and final installment of this series. Cheers!
