Photos by : NeoWeekends, the time most Singaporeans come out to party and fully embrace the vibrant nightlife Singapore has to offer. Alcohol, good music, hot girls in sexy dresses, a great recipe for a good night out. For a bunch of guys and girls, the recipe for a great night out involves a different kind of liquid and music. Burning some fuel, the sound of VTEC screams and hot cars in sexy rims and body kits. Our past feature and favourite S2000 owner Youri dropped us a message regarding a long awaited S2000 meet set to take place on a Friday night. After our first experience with the S2000 club, we were excited to see if there were any nice S2000s we could potentially do a feature on. We had made plans for the night even before we found out about the meet so the idea was to head down to snap a couple of photos and leave within an hour. Well that was the original plan any way. The meet was held at the East Coast big splash carpark, a great location with ample parking space with many cafes for food and drinks nearby. The problem? Lighting was horrible. Not the ideal spot for trying to squeeze twenty S2000s into a photo when most of the cars end up being hidden in the shadows. The Solution? All twenty S2000s were going to go on a short drive together to an alternate location with better lighting. Ahhhh yes... The howls of VTEC in the night was already playing in our heads. We hung around big splash awaiting more late-comers to arrive before heading off for the short drive, so we took the opportunity to get a close look at a few very feature worthy cars. This gunmetal J's racing wide-bodied example particularly caught our attention! Shadow of a big wang. Youri finally arrived nearly an hour late in his newly updated S2000 dressed in a new Sorcery front bumper and Work wheels. His arrival marked the beginning of the drive! Neo hopped into one very low profile turbocharged S2000 and it was time for the drive. The group wanted to roll through the MCE expressway to listen to their exhaust notes echoing through the tunnel in unison. It was music to the ears that provided as much of a high as any club DJ would. We took the exit at Keppel to make a U-turn for another drive back through the MCE towards Singapore Expo. Traffic light stops were quite the sight to behold. Many drivers were intentionally slowing down to catch a closer look and the noise they made accelerating from the traffic lights was sheer aural pleasure! Final stop was a well lit carpark at the Singapore Expo where unfortunately, we were running quite late for a prior engagement and did not have the opportunity to stick around to mingle to perhaps get more photos and find out more about the cars. Thanks to Youri for informing us of the meet and Shawn for organizing everything! We look forward to meeting you guys again!
