Events : Singapore's S2000 Meet

It's been roughly 2 months since started as a Singaporean internet site directed at car enthusiasts from Asia and Worldwide and in this short period of time, we achieved 1,400 likes on our Facebook page, and more than 18,000 individual hits on this website. I'll like to say a big thank you to everyone, like my readers and fellow crew members, who has made this possible. It has been a while since I wrote an article. I just came back from Sepang International Circuit after a week long stint where I was working as a pit crew for one of the race teams. We clinched first place in the Touring Production Class after the 12 hour Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race. That would explain the sudden lack of content on the website, though that race event was covered here on
The voyeuristic view through the fence had some gems within.
Well that aside, covering car-related events is something everyone at The Right Wrong looks forward to despite having our own personal commitments, be it work or school. We were greeted with an abundance of cars. In this case, many diverse examples of how a S2000 could be. Before my degree program, I worked in a car workshop where we built a track ready S2000 from the chassis up. The S2000 has always been one of my greatest loves aside from the NSX offered by Honda and personally my dream car too.
Don't mind me using newspapers for masking. Because RACE CAR.
This afternoon event was held at the former Turf Club on a Saturday afternoon where many Singaporean S2000 owners and even one Malaysian owner attended this show-and-tell session. This tightly-knit group meets up occasionally for gatherings and track sessions at Sepang. The owners turned out in their rides with different conceptions of how a S2000 could be. The heat and humidity that Saturday afternoon didn't put these attendees off. In fact, many of them stood out in the blazing sun sharing tips and pointers regarding their rides.
Owners were nice to share what they had in bay.
There were a few S2000s that captured our attention that day, like this clean blue Mugen lipped S2000 sporting black Recaros;
Looking purposeful.
In addition, this white S2000 with a J's Racing front end has big snorkel for the air box while accented with a carbon front lip.
In Uniquely Singapore, carnards are frowned upon by the authorities.
This lone ranger here was the guy that made this meet possible, one of the few hardtops in Singapore Not a popular choice around here as the insurance premiums here are higher as the S2000 is registered as a convertible.
Those RPF1s had some poke.
When we say there are many examples of how a S2000 could be, here's 4 of them of the same colour, yet all sporting different rear wings.
They fly differently.
These S2000s were diverse, each having their own styles. There wasn't any right or wrong cues and we didn't expect to see so much of them all in one place alone especially when the current head count on S2000 owners in the group stands at 38.
Many turned up despite having other commitments planned that day.
Personally I wasn't expecting to see slammed examples of the S2000. The roads here are the typical shoddy cost-cutting uneven roads made by cheap labourers.
Boys and girls turned up in their diverse S2000s.
Well I was wrong. There was a zero finger gap seen on a S2000 that turned out that day. To see a car here with such low a ride height is a rare occurrence comparable to a blue moon.
Slam it!
Apparently this S2000 is now in the hands of its third owner with the previous 2 owners being competition race drivers themselves, hence this car had seen much action at the Sepang International Circuit.
Got camber?
Yes, this S2000 might be rolling on Rotas to some of you haters out there but he has a set of TE37SLs lying at home as spare. This car is a daily driver despite its near ridiculous ride height like my own EK4 hatch, where sacrifices like scraping the front lip every now and then have to be made to have functional form.
Functional form.
Another S2000 that caught our eyes was this sleek black beauty.
The J's Racing bonnet accents the fierce front-end look.
This S2000 has many carbon eye candies such as the J's Racing bonnet while riding on Volk Racing GTC shoes, tucked with Spoon Monoblocks to keep braking in check.
Volk Racing GTCs making the curves of the S2000 +1 sleek.
The carbon wing keeps the car planted to the ground together with a custom diffuser adorned by titanium J's Racing exhausts side by side.
The carbon wing and titanium pipes finishes the look of the black beauty.
Well, undoubtedly the car that stole the show that day was this eye candy J's Racing widebody S2000.
This is the one and only S2000 in Singapore sporting the J's Racing widebody kit, and there's no doubt why everyone wanted to get a closer peek at it.
The type of school excursions they didn't tell you about.
Carbon fibre bits accented the whole car at every inch from the front till the back and this car rolls hard with TE37SLs.
You can't go wrong with the TE37s, and the SL edition makes it even more right.
A peek through the front bumper would be a tell tale sign of what's harbored as the powerplant inside. Keep your eyes peeled for an individual feature of this mean green monster soon!
Stay tuned for an individual feature of this S2000 soon.
If you are reading this and you would like us at The Right Wrong crew to feature your local car meet, please feel free to drop us an email HERE with details included. We are looking forward to hear from you soon. We at believe that all enthusiasts out here share common interests for the car industry here and one fundamental reason for creating this website is to hopefully dispel disparity amongst different car owners. We can't stop the hating but well, we can start some loving for the great cars we have here.
Talk about love, it's time for a orgy! :)
I want to apologise again for the lack of content as both of us writers are undergraduate students facing examinations soon and our photographers hold daytime jobs of their own. It's a fruitful two months nonetheless and we at are definitely looking forward to bringing you more car porn! Thanks for the continuous support and don't forget to share us with your friends! You can also like us on Facebook HERE.
A big thanks to everyone at Singapore Honda Club's S2000 group.
Here are some of the photos of the rest of the cars that day. Enjoy!
