Words by : E3lipse, Ray Ng, Photos by : E3lipse PhotographyThe Right Wrong's Australian correspondent E3lipse attended the JDM Western Australia Meet and Cruise on the 23rd October where more than 100 Japanese cars gathered at a location which is a 15mins drive from Perth City to meet up before heading off for a cruise around the area. What is a cruise? It is probably what we know in Singapore as “rounding” where there is a specific route to follow and everyone will drive along the route together. I was in a mate’s R34 GTT Sedan and sadly, we didn’t make it to the first location on time. By the time we reached, the last cars had just left to the next location. Chasing the entire group, we made a few short cuts and managed to get on the tail of a R34 GTR and RX7 FD3S. The next stop was at Boat Harbour Quay Car Park along Ocean Beach Road where I felt like I was in heaven. The car park was mostly filled with sports cars from a group of E9X M3s to Mazda RX7s to Evos and WRXes , Hondas and not forgetting the large population of Nissan Skylines. Proceeding down towards Stirling Highway for the last stop at the Methodist Ladies’ College, we followed 3 R34 GTRs this time, but we lost them at a traffic light. Fortunately, we caught up with another group of Skylines and a Nissan Pulsar GTi-R and proceeded. Everybody behaved pretty well and there were no occasions of police as such cruises are often a police attraction where hoonigans attract attention. I hope to be able to attend the meet using my Integra in future. Just needs a new set of suspensions right now and a new exhaust. JDM WA have just held their 4th gathering on the 27th of November 2011 but I have returned to Singapore hence I’m unable to attend. Check out HERE for JDM WA’s official Facebook page and join them at the next cruise.
